Ergersheim is part of the county of Neustadt a. d. Aisch - Bad Windsheim and centrally located between Bad Windsheim and Uffenheim. The towns of Ansbach, Neustadt a. d. Aisch, Ochsenfurt, and Rothenburg o. d. Tauber are also nearby. As part of Middle Franconia, Ergersheim is nestled between the Fränkische Schweiz ("Franconian Switzerland") and the Steigerwald and Frankenhöhe Nature Parks.

The Franconian lake country is also just a short drive away and offers a variety of water sports activities.

Ergersheim

Ergersheim is a traditional wine-growing town situated along the Middle Franconian "Bocksbeutel" Road. Most of the local wines are grown on the Ergersheimer Altenberg covering an area of about 30 acres.

One of the largest and most important employers in the region, MEKRA Langhas built a workforce of more than 1400 employees at its Ergersheim location.
