Enthusiasm for innovation: Open day at MEKRA Lang

Blue skies, warm summer temperatures and a great supporting program attracted around 500 visitors to MEKRA Lang's open day in Ergersheim on 11 May from 10 am to 4 pm.

The rides on the Vision Truck sold out pretty quickly. But the various company tours and workplace visits were also very popular.

There was an insight into various departments in the new electronics building. Lean Management presented its approach to how MEKRA Lang can work more efficiently. The environmental management department illustrated what is already being implemented in the company to save resources. It was also possible to see a mirror in individual parts and how the production lines are designed.

The bistro at the head office provided information on various training opportunities, internships and dual study courses.  A "Skillcourt" was also set up, which combines training for the mind and body. With the help of VR glasses, visitors were able to take a close-up look at our DVS mirror replacement system in virtual space.

In the parking lot in front of Lang Technics, children could play in a bouncy castle and prove their soccer skills at the goal wall. Students from the Technical University of Nuremberg presented their electrically powered and self-designed racing car. Food and drinks were also on offer.

Artificial intelligence you can touch

Ansbach University of Applied Sciences was on site with its interdisciplinary transfer center ANkiT. There, visitors were able to experience artificial intelligence using many practical examples. Quite a few were fascinated by what AI can already do and what it is used for.

In two presentations, visitors were able to learn about flower energies according to Dr. Bach and part-time training from Managing Partner Susanne Lang.

The proceeds from the entire day went to the Frieda Lang Haus and Lebenshilfe Neustadt/Aisch-Bad Windsheim.
