Hans-Lang memorial tournament for U13 youth teams in Weigenheim

On Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., an U13 tournament was held at the SV Viktoria Weigenheim sports field in honor of the company founder and passionate soccer player Hans Lang. The tournament was embedded in the large framework of the 90th anniversary of the company. Therefore, the company also provided catering for the teams as well as trophies and medals for the children. The managing partner of MEKRA Lang took the opportunity to personally cheer on the tournament participants and to present the award ceremony.

The tournament was played in the stadium, D-youth size, with everyone playing against everyone else. The tournament also served the teams to prepare for the upcoming season.

The spectators could look forward to a high-level tournament, the 6 teams from Stadeln, Uffenheim, Ansbach-Eyb, Steinachgrund, Feuchtwangen and Weigenheim promised an exciting tournament and kept this promise.

Despite the mixed weather, everyone was eager to play and delivered exciting duels as well as great team play.

The winning team from TuS Feuchtwangen received a trophy and a donation of 300 euros for a team event, while the runners-up from FSV Stadeln and SVG Steinachgrund also received trophies and donations of 200 and 150 euros respectively.

And because being there is everything and everyone had played with great passion, there were of course also medals for the remaining three teams and a donation of 70 euros each for the team.

All spectators agreed that impressive rallies could be seen and one or the other special talent was also spotted. Who knows, maybe one or the other player has already been discovered by a talent scout!

In the end, however, the most important thing for everyone was the enjoyment of the game and the sporting competition, in which fairness and team spirit took center stage.
