SAFETY FOR TOURIST, CITY, AND INTERCITY BUSES THROUGH VISION SYSTEMS
In passenger transport—such as school buses, tour buses, or local public transit—safety provided by vision systems plays a significant role. MEKRA Lang offers in-house developed, time-tested mirror, mirror replacement, and/or camera-monitor systems for these applications as well. Both our proven, standardized solutions and those developed in collaboration with our customers provide a safe, all-around view.

REQUIREMENTS
For buses, there are legally mandated fields of view, a school bus regulation for Germany and Spain, and a Belgian regulation.
The statutory fields of view specify the minimum requirements. The idealized MEKRA fields of view may vary depending on vehicle size, contour, and mounting point, but they always meet the statutory minimum requirements.
LEGALLY REQUIRED FIELDS OF VISION FOR BUSES
As a systems supplier, MEKRA Lang offers a wide range of mirror, mirror replacement, and/or camera-monitor systems designed to meet the field-of-view classes required by law for buses.
MIRROR SOLUTION
ALTERNATIVE TO MIRRORS
GERMAN SCHOOL BUS REGULATIONS
To comply with German school bus regulations, an additional BUG mirror is required on the right side. MEKRA Lang offers suitable solutions for this as well. With the mirror replacement system, the BUG mirror is displayed on an additional monitor.
BELGIAN REGULATION
Under Belgian regulations, the use of an additional Class IV wide-angle mirror on the right side is required. Thanks to their modular design, MEKRA mirror, mirror replacement, and/or camera-monitor systems can be flexibly adapted to comply with this regulation.

SPANISH SCHOOL BUS REGULATIONS
According to Spanish school bus regulations, the use of a supplementary mirror and a close-range mirror is required. Thanks to their modular design, MEKRA mirror, mirror replacement, and/or camera-monitor systems can be flexibly adapted to comply with this regulation. In the mirror replacement system, the supplementary mirror is displayed on an additional monitor.
