We incorporate quality into our product and process development from the very beginning. That is why our quality management system is integrated into the development department from the outset. It is closely interlinked with all development and business units throughout the entire product lifecycle and encompasses quality planning, initial sampling, coordinate measuring technology, test equipment management, and complaint handling. Here, we consistently apply established automotive processes, such as maturity level verification (RGA), product and process approval procedures (PPF and PPAP), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and Automotive SPICE (A-SPICE). In this way, we ensure optimal quality and the best service to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY
At our measurement laboratory in Ergersheim, we measure individual parts, component assemblies, and complete systems made from a wide variety of materials, using equipment such as a portable measuring arm or a 3D coordinate measuring machine. Our goal is to perform a comparison between the actual and target dimensions of parts or systems against the CAD model or drawing, or to conduct a before-and-after comparison of individual components.
Using the measuring arm, we perform optical, laser-scanned, or touch-trigger measurements with high accuracy in the hundredths-of-a-millimeter range, with or without CAD. This can be done directly in the manufacturing environment. For even greater precision—in the thousandths-of-a-millimeter range—we measure in a specially climate-controlled measurement room using a 3D coordinate measuring machine.
