Our in-house developments, their continuous refinement and optimization, as well as state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, enable us to respond flexibly and immediately to new requirements and to fulfill customer requests quickly and smoothly. Our manufacturing process covers all materials and production stages: from glass manufacturing and toolmaking for our plastics technology, through metalworking and assembly—including electronics—to the final functional testing prior to delivery of our vision systems.
We manufacture semi-finished products and accessories such as tubes, mirrors, and plastic parts fully or partially automatically upon receipt of an order, with the highest degree of standardization and automation. Using state-of-the-art, computer-controlled production equipment—some of which we have developed ourselves—such as injection molding machines, vacuum-based coating systems, laser cutting systems, and 5-axis, 3-axis, and HSC milling machines, we produce with precision and consistently deliver the highest quality and on-time delivery.
At MEKRA Lang, we coordinate all material, information, and cash flows throughout the entire production chain—from raw material procurement to the delivery of quality-tested viewing systems—using supply chain management (SCM). Through planning that encompasses all production steps using a production planning and control system (PPS), we coordinate all short-, medium-, and long-term customer requirements, raw material inventories, sales plans, and completed orders with all stakeholders on a daily basis. We transmit and monitor our supply chain management using electronic data interchange (EDI).
