DIGITAL NETWORK CAMERA

The MEKRA platform camera is based on a high-quality modular development platform that enables the implementation of customized solutions tailored specifically to the customer’s requirements within a single camera.

The camera is recommended for use in agricultural and construction machinery, forklifts, buses, motorhomes, vans, trucks, as well as fire trucks and municipal vehicles. Thanks to the camera’s modular design, adaptation to the respective vehicle type can be carried out in a time- and cost-efficient manner.

The camera is characterized by its particularly robust housing, making it ideally suited for use in harsh environmental conditions. Furthermore, it can be used in all weather conditions, thanks in part to a particularly powerful, integrated heater that de-ices the lens within a few minutes.

The network camera uses the SOME/IP protocol (ISO 17215 standard) to communicate with the vehicle's control unit. This is done via either 100Base-T1 (BroadR-Reach) or 100Base-TX (Fast Ethernet).

We offer an open-source interface for quick integration into your software. The API, written in C++, can be downloaded directly from our Git server upon request and built on both Linux and Windows systems.
