TRANSPARENCY AND DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS FOR VISITORS TO DEMEKRA LANG GMBH & CO. KG*

This document informs you about the processing of your personal data by MEKRA Lang GmbH & Co. KG when you register as a visitor, as well as your rights under data protection law.

Categories / source of data

Your personal data is either collected directly from you at the front desk or previously recorded in our administrative system by your contact person.

Your personal data will be collected either directly at the front desk or previously by your contact person at our registered office and recorded in our management system.

For business customers / private customers:

  • Contact details: visitor’s name, company name and address / private address
  • License plate number
  • Contact person and associated department at 
  • MEKRA Lang GmbH & Co. KG
  • Verification of ID card details
  • Time of arrival and departure

Purposes and legal grounds for data processing

When we process your personal data, we always adhere to the provisions of the EU GDPR, the new Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and other relevant legal regulations.

Your data will be recorded for the purpose of processing your visit to our business premises, which includes registering you in our visitor log and issuing a visitor pass. For security reasons, your identity will be verified by inspecting and comparing your ID document before the visitor pass is issued.

Your ID card will be inspected to verify your identity, as we can only grant you access to our premises if your identity has been properly confirmed. The data on your ID card will not be processed or stored beyond the inspection.

For the purpose of detecting criminal offenses, your personal data will be processed only under the conditions of Article 10 of the EU GDPR. 

Data Retention Period

We will delete your personal data as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purposes mentioned above, but no later than two weeks.

Data recipients / categories of recipients

Within our company, we ensure that only those departments and individuals who need your data to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations receive it.

In certain cases, service providers support our specialized departments in fulfilling their duties. For example, we are supported in visitor management by our service provider Wallenwein Administration & Development UG (Unkenweg 61, 70499 Stuttgart).

In certain cases, we are legally obligated to provide information to public authorities, such as tax authorities, law enforcement agencies, and customs authorities. Within our company, we ensure that only those departments and individuals who need your data to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations receive it.

Data is not transferred to third countries (outside the European Union or the European Economic Area).

Rights of data subjects

  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 of the EU GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 of the EU GDPR)
  • The right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 of the EU GDPR)
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 of the EU GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Article 20 of the EU GDPR)

To exercise these rights, please contact: datenschutz@mekra.de. The same applies if you have questions regarding data processing within our company or if you wish to withdraw your consent. Additionally, you may file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if necessary.

If we process your data to protect legitimate interests, you may object to this processing at any time for reasons related to your particular situation. In this case, we will cease processing your personal data unless we can demonstrate that there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing serves to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Obligation to Provide Data

To process your visit, you are required to provide certain personal data. This is necessary to comply with security standards and resulting legal obligations. Otherwise, access to our premises cannot be granted.

Case-by-case automated decisions 

We do not use purely automated processing to make decisions.
