Your personal data is either collected directly from you upon arrival or pre-entered into our administrative system

by your contact person. We may also collect personal data via video surveillance in certain buildings.

For business customers / private customers:

• Contact information: visitor’s name, company name, and address / private address
• License plate
• Contact person and relevant department at MEKRA Lang GmbH & Co. KG
• Verification of ID information
• Time of arrival and departure

Purposes and legal basis for data processing

When processing your personal data, we always comply with the provisions of the EU GDPR, the new Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and other relevant legal regulations.

Your data is recorded to facilitate your visit to our office premises, which includes entering you in the visitor log and issuing a visitor pass. For security reasons, your identity will be verified by checking and comparing your identification document before a visitor pass is issued.

Your identification document will be checked to verify your identity, as we can only grant you access to our premises if your identity has been properly verified. The data from your identification document will not be processed or stored after verification.

For the detection of criminal offenses, your personal data will be processed only in accordance with Article 10 of the EU GDPR. 

Data Retention Period

We will delete your personal data as soon as it is no longer necessary for the aforementioned purposes, but no later than two weeks.

Data recipients / categories of recipients

Within our company, we ensure that only those departments and individuals who need your data to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations receive it.

In some cases, service providers support our specialized departments in performing their tasks. For example, 

our service provider Wallenwein Administration & Development UG (Unkenweg 61, 

70499 Stuttgart).

In certain cases, we are required to provide information to government authorities, such as tax authorities, law enforcement agencies, and customs authorities.

Transfer to a third country / intention to transfer to a third country

Data is not transferred to third countries (outside the European Union or the European Economic Area).

Obligation to Provide Data

To process your visit, you must provide certain personal data. This is necessary to comply with security standards and the resulting legal obligations. Otherwise, access to our premises cannot be granted.

Automated decision-making in specific cases  

We do not use exclusively automated processing for decision-making.
